The Cerise Pink Dog

I think I'll settle down and have a nice snooze now

I think I’ll settle down and have a nice snooze now

I am in the pink
I’m feeling oh so fine
I think I’ll have a play
with something pink of mine.

I have cerise pink balls
and a cerise pink bed
Anything that is pink
must be mine, in my head.

Rain and wind!

Mum, is it okay if I use the newspaper on the floor today instead?

Mum, is it okay if I use the newspaper on the floor today instead?

After my exciting day yesterday I had a bit of a deli-belly, probably because I stole under-ripe apples off a tree, so Mum said I should have a quiet day at home with her today and she cancelled her day out with her friends.  She didn’t get up until late, at about 8.30am, then stayed in her pj’s half the day.  I must admit I too was still tired from yesterday. I had used my newspaper on the floor, but apart from that my room was very tidy.

The awful thing though was that it was absolutely tipping down with rain most of the morning so I couldn’t go out when I needed to use the loo. I absolutely hate it when it rains and I get wet. I slept a lot instead, and waited until the rain abated.  I have never seen so much rain! I know I live on an estate with roads that are named after rivers, but I didn’t expect to be actually living on the banks of a river like I was today!

Lunchtime was good because Continue reading

An Eventful Day

I really should look before I leap!

I really should look before I leap!

Every day I seem to be doing something new, and having new experiences, but I think today capped it all so far.

The day started well, after having spent a miserable evening last night indoors because it kept raining. Mum and I went to see if the Saturday morning social club was out and about in the park, but no-one else came so we did the big circuit around two parks instead, and came back via the first park to see if anyone had turned up yet and lo and behold there was a little GSD puppy playing fetch with her owners. She was a lot smaller than me, only three months old and her name was Bella. She still had ears that didn’t stand up right. Her brother was Continue reading

GSD Dog Training

GSD DisplayLast night I went to see some GSD’s being trained at our local GSD training club. I didn’t like the journey there. I didn’t know where we were going or why, and I was sick in the car. When we got there it was out of doors in a big field, and just after we went down to meet the people it started to rain. Then it poured and I got soaked. So did Mum. She took me back to the car and put me back in my crate until the rain stopped, then Continue reading

Saturday Social Club

Here we are, the Saturday Social Club puppies

I’m really shattered!

Today I called for my mate Mollie on the way to the park. Her mum wasn’t quite ready to come out but she said she would meet my mum over the park in about five minutes. Meanwhile Mum and I went to play fetch in the little bit of a green area at the top of our leafy lane. I soon got bored playing, so Mum took me to the park. I didn’t really want to go. I wanted to wait for Mollie.

Anyway when we got to the park Continue reading

Playing “Fetch” in the Park

Mollie's still got my ball

Mollie’s still got my ball

I’ve been very brave and running around off the lead in the park every evening for the last three days. It all started when Mum met her friend walking her Old English Sheepdog puppy, Mollie, with her little mate Maggie. I was being a bit stroppy on the way up the street, as I didn’t really want to go very far. Just as we went past Mollie’s house, out they came and we all walked to the park together. I was happy to go further then, as I like Mollie a lot. She’s only eleven months old.  She’s a funny looking dog, because she’s had a haircut to keep her cool during the heatwave.

I had a good old run around the park with Mollie. She chased me out of the park, but I came back when Mum whistled me. Then another very big dog came along and I was a bit scared of him so I stayed close to Mum on the lead while Mollie went and chased about with him. I was very tired when I got back home, and I sure slept well that night. I hardly made any mess in my room.

Causing a Flood

I really don't know what all the fuss was about. All I did was chew a bit of rubber! How was I to know it would case a flood?

I’m in the doghouse again! I really don’t know what all the fuss was about. All I did was chew a bit of rubber tube! How was I to know it would cause a flood?

I was a bit of a naughty girl last night. When I was bored I found a secret flap at the bottom of Mum’s washing machine in my room and I opened it. Inside there was a bit of rubber tube dangling down, so I chewed it a bit. When Mum came down to sort out my room, she put the flap back, without noticing that there was a loose bit of rubber. Then she put on her washing and went to make a cup of coffee.

Loose in the Lounge

Is this a good enough "Lie down" for you?

Is this a good enough “Lie down” for you?

I’m fifteen weeks old today. I’ve had a fantastic weekend with Mum. It’s been a bit hot though. We’ve been going out early in the morning for a walk around the block, and again very late in the evening. We don’t see any dogs in the morning, but there are a few around late in the evening. I met the big grey Poodle again who was walking his dad and a Westie. His dad gave us all some treats.

Most of the day I’ve been Continue reading

Splashing about on a Sunday

Getting really wet now in Mum's old dog basket

Getting really wet now in Mum’s old dog basket

I’m fourteen weeks old today. I like Sundays when Mum’s at home. We started off with a lovely long early morning walk, before breakfast. I only met one friendly dog, and we sniffed each other’s noses. There were two very pretty Miniature Schnauzers walking their dad, but they were barking their heads off when they saw me, so I sat down and waited for them to go by. Mum said I was a very good girl for walking to heel most of the way round our walk.

After breakfast Mum was pruning things in the garden. I was trying to help, but Continue reading

Walking round the block

2014-07-21 19.56.31 2

Reluctant to go further, I sit down pointedly, but Mum takes no notice.

Mum keeps taking me out around the “blocks” near her house. It seems that there are several ways we can go, so that we can also walk down the grassy lanes between different housing estates where we live. Sometimes I don’t really want to go very far and I keep sitting down and looking back.  I would have thought that it should be obvious to her that I want to go back home. She doesn’t take any notice though and keeps saying “Come on” to me. I keep going to please her, but I’m not happy that she ignores my wishes.

Yesterday it was Continue reading
