Xmas is over, the tree has gone and I’m allowed back in the lounge if I’m good. I’ve been checking out the smells all around the room to see who was sitting where at Mum’s New Year party, and I’ve had a good look outside to see if I can spot any dogs or cats walking by our house.
I barked at the Xmas tree standing in our front porch all sad and naked. I don’t know where Mum has hidden all the decorations, but I’m glad they’re gone and I’m allowed back in the room. I’m trying hard to keep my New Year resolutions to be good, so maybe next Xmas I’ll be good enough to come and sit by the Xmas tree.
My first day back in the lounge after the Xmas tree has gone
I need to have a good scout around to see who has left their scent
and I must have a look to see if next door’s cats are out and about
Having a good sniff around
I can smell Auntie’s feet here
and I think she may have sat on this chair
I’m wondering where the Xmas cake has gone that was on this table
Is that pesky pigeon in the garden?
I think this is Auntie’s cushion
I can see another dog in this window that looks like me
I wonder if it will play with me
Mum’s just given me a new bone to keep me out of mischief
I wonder how long it will take me to bite this to bits
This is more fun than running around with a piece of coal in my mouth being chased by Mum ans Auntie
and they both leave me alone to get on with it
